Everything started with one remarkable cat.
AL wasn’t just a cat. He was the heart behind EpilepticAL.com.
After being diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy at a young age, AL became the inspiration for a mission built around awareness, understanding, and hope. Life with epilepsy was not always easy, but AL kept showing us what resilience looked like. Between his seizures, he was affectionate, goofy, stubborn, funny, and full of personality. He fought through hard days and still found ways to make us laugh, ask for love, and remind us that joy can exist right alongside the difficult parts.
Although AL passed away in 2023 while being held and loved by his mom, the founder of this shop, his legacy lives on in every design. What began as an epilepsy awareness project has grown into a collection of original products celebrating resilience, cats, vintage Americana, and a healthy appreciation for the delightfully unofficial. The shop has expanded, but its purpose is still rooted in AL’s story: to inform, encourage, and make people smile.
