Our Story
EpilepticAL.com began with a very special cat named AL.
AL was diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy when he was young, and his life changed ours in ways we never expected. He had seizures, hard days, and scary moments, but that was never the whole story. He was affectionate, goofy, stubborn, funny, and full of life between the difficult parts. He taught us a lot about resilience, love, and finding joy even when life does not go as planned.
After AL passed away in 2023, what started as a small epilepsy awareness project slowly grew into something bigger. EpilepticAL.com became a creative shop built around the things that mattered to us: Epilepsy awareness, cats, humor, vintage-inspired design, a little patriotism, and the kind of delightfully unofficial ideas that make people smile.
Today, the shop includes epilepsy awareness products, cat-themed gifts, patriotic designs, vintage-style artwork, and whimsical faux government creations. Some designs are meant to inform. Some are meant to encourage. Some are just meant to make someone laugh.
The shop has grown, but the heart of it has not changed. EpilepticAL.com still exists to honor AL’s memory, raise awareness, celebrate resilience, and share a little kindness and humor along the way.

Our mission is simple: To create products that mean something.
Some designs are made to raise epilepsy awareness. Some are made to encourage someone who needs it. Some are made to make people laugh, feel seen, or remember that they are not alone. Through thoughtful artwork, creative gifts, and messages with a little heart behind them, we hope to promote understanding, celebrate individuality, and start conversations that matter.
We believe awareness does not have to feel cold or clinical. It can be warm, approachable, honest, and even funny. We also believe the things we love, like cats, country, creativity, community, and a little everyday weirdness, have a way of bringing people together.
Every design is created with purpose, and every part of this shop still carries the memory of AL, the cat who inspired it all.

Our Founder
EpilepticAL.com was founded by Leanne in memory of her cat, AL, whose journey with epilepsy inspired a mission centered on awareness, education, creativity, and compassion.
After witnessing firsthand the challenges of living with epilepsy, Leanne created the shop as a way to honor AL's memory while helping others feel seen, understood, and supported. What began as a small epilepsy awareness project has grown into a unique online shop featuring advocacy-inspired products, cat-themed gifts, patriotic designs, vintage-inspired artwork, and whimsical faux government creations.
